Floyd Mayweather Jr was sentenced to serve 90 days in the Clark County jail on a battery charge stemming from an incident in September 2010 in which he assaulted his ex girlfriend Josie Harris in her home in front of their two sons. In addition to the 90 day sentence, Mayweather Jr must serve 100 hours of community service, a 12 month domestic violence program and a fine of $2,500. The sentence might not be the biggest blow to the superstar, as he had a May 5th date already set aside for a long awaited showdown with rival Manny Pacquiao. With the jail time Floyd Mayweather would not have sufficient time to prepare for a May 5th fight and with other options on the table I’m sure the Pacquiao camp is not going to wait around.
