This week, Cooperatize closed out the New York Times Travel show with its Travel Marketing Summit and we’ve got the Skinny on the event.
As an online advertising firm, Cooperatize is a leader in linking brands to Millennial bloggers, taste makers and influencers. So exposing the waffling travel industry to new ways to inspire the dreaming millennial is pure genius.
The Travel Marketing Summit included presenters and speakers who discussed ways the travel industry can reach millennials from inspiration, consideration and purchase phases. Ting Ting Yan and Sarah Robinson of Google Travel gave social media suggestions for travel marketers to identify and engage new travelers. While Sree Srinivasan, Chief Digital Officer of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, stole the show with his expertise in digital marketing. Sree gave tips on how to optimize your social media accounts in order to gain more influence, using an app on his phone called 5 slides app for his presentation; which he said only took about 20 minutes. He also suggested travel marketers calculate their reach and influencers through an app called Twiangulate. While Sree gave necessary advice for travel marketers, many of his tips had the ears of influencers and content creators such as myself. In fact, anyone branding themselves should optimize their social media and become more visible. Another amazing aspect of the event is the way in which Cooperatize included influencers such as Gina Doost of What The Doost. Influencers acted as moderator and guided conversations between travel marketers, speakers and the audience.
The 2nd best part of the event were the goodies. We stayed nourished by E&E Grill House, hydrated by All Beauty Water and kept warm in Blizzard of 2015 with Cappuccino and Espresso from Xpresso Delight. Cooperatize even made sure we remained relaxed and comfortable with massages and stretching from Knead Massage; alongside fresh hair styles from Bella. The event closed out with gift bags that included stylish frames from Dharma and spirits from New York Distilling Company.
The Travel Marketing Summit is by far the best conference I have attended and I can not wait until next year.
