The 2014 New York International Auto Show housed so many debuts including Alfa Romeo’s return to the United States. But nothing was a show stopper like the winners of the 2014 World Car Awards. And this year’s winners are:

2014 World Performance Car of The Year

Originally a list of 26, judges got down to the Porsche 911 GT3, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and the Ferrari 458 Speciale.  Porsche took the World Performance Car of the Year award in the stretch for the 3rd year in a row at the New York International Auto Show.

2014 World Luxury Car of the Year

Mercedes Benz continues to feed the status quo of Luxury Vehicle enthusiasts. With just 10 entries including the Bentley Flying Spur and Range Rover Sport, Mercedes Benz S Class took the 2014 World Luxury Car of the Year award.

2014 World Green Car and World Car Design of the Year Award

BMW has been delving into the world a “Green” more and more in recent years. It’s interest in “going green” and innovative styles has afforded it this years World Green Car and World Car Design of the World awards collectively.

2014 World Car of The Year

Audi has won The World Car of the Year Award 7 times; after a 4 year hiatus from taking the award…  Audi won 2014 with it’s Audi A3 model.
